Getting Started
Pick an Average Arrow Value: This setting determines the general skill level of the opponent you will be competing against. Choose a value that reflects the typical performance level of your desired opponent.
Select a Variation Level (Pro Only): This setting controls the variance of the opponent’s arrow values from their average. A lower variation level means more consistent shots, simulating a more steady opponent. Higher variation adds more variability to each arrow.
Choose End Duration (Pro Only): Select between a 90-second or 120-second end duration. This is the time you will have to complete each end (3 arrows).
Starting a Round
Start Round: Tap "Start Round" to begin the simulation.
Start End: Tap "Start Timer" to start the timer and begin shooting.
Simulated Opponent: During your end, your opponent's arrow scores will randomly appear on the screen, simulating an actual opponent shooting beside you.
Finishing an End
Complete Your Shots: Once you finish shooting your three arrows, you can either wait for the timer to run out or tap "Finish End" if you are a Pro user to fast forward.
Enter Your Scores: Use the on-screen keypad to input each of your 3 arrow values. This feature is available for both Free and Pro users, but only Pro users will have their scores tracked in a match.
Match Play (Pro Only)
Recurve Elimination Matches: These matches use set points. The winner of each set gets 2 points, and if there is a tie, each archer gets 1 point. The first to 6 or more set points wins the match. A score of 5 - 5 is resolved in a one arrow shoot off.
Compound Elimination Matches: These matches total the score of each archer's arrows after 5 sets. The archer with the higher total score wins. A tie will be resolved in a one arrow shoot off.
Additional Notes
Pro Version Benefits:
Fast forward the end if you finish early.
Customize your opponents shooting consistency.
Access to full match simulations and tie-breaker shoot-offs.
Free Version:
Though no match play is available and there is less opponent customizability, the free version still works as a solid tool for simulating realistic timed ends with individual arrow values and can be used effectively during training.
I hope this guide helps you get the most out of Gold Medal Match. Good luck and shoot straight!
